TotalSim Takes Flight at Vertical Flight Society’s Electric Aircraft Symposium
The TotalSim US team attended the Vertical Flight Society’s (VFS) Electric Aircraft Symosium (EAS) during the weekend of July19th-20th in Oshkosh, WI. Every year, EAS provides an excellent opportunity to network with leaders of advanced air mobility (AAM) at a small intimate conference organized by the technical leaders of the industry. The annual Electric Aircraft Symposium is the premier electric VTOL / STOL / CTOL / AAM event held immediately prior to EAA’s AirVenture. The two day is a great way to connect to innovators and leaders in the “un” conventional aircraft design, propulsion and take off and landing options. TotalSim US President Ray Leto represented the company and enjoyed some meaningful discussions with some of the presenters and attendees. Ray has attended the event as an individual in previous years, but this was the first time TotalSim USA had exhibited. The symposium was full of great presentations and content and we look forward to participating again next year.

Where Passion Takes Flight: TotalSim at 2025 AirVenture
This year’s AirVenture wasn’t the typical fly-in for Ray — he swapped his usual arrival by plane for a road trip instead. While he didn’t fly himself in, he still embraced the spirit of the event by tent camping in Camp Scholler, joining nearly 40,000 other passionate aviation enthusiasts. Once on the grounds, AirVenture delivered as always. After manning the booth and attending the Vertical Flight Society’s Electric Aircraft Symposium over the weekend, Ray spent three full days soaking in all the aviation excitement. Monday evening’s Props ‘n’ Hops event, hosted by Hartzell, continues to be one of the top social and networking events in general aviation. There, Ray connected with clients like Hartzell and Beta, along with industry friends and colleagues. Highlights from the week included seeing Beta’s Alia aircraft up close for the first time and checking out new engine innovations from DeltaHawk. And, of course, the lineup of aircraft never disappoints — from WWII classics like the P-40 and B-29 to cutting-edge designs like the HondaJet. Speaking of Honda, their booth featured the Acura DPi race car — a project TotalSim proudly contributed to. The crossover between motorsports and aviation engineering was on full display. Ray returned home recharged and inspired by the future of general aviation and AAM — and he’s already planning for AirVenture 2026.
